Teknologi mikroba-intensif diterapkan baik pada fase pertumbuhan, yaitu pertumbhan bibit di pembibitan dan pertumbuhan tanaman di lapangan. Saat ini, tanaman dataran rendah sudah selesai dipanen, sedangkan tanaman di dataran tinggi masih pada periode generatif. Penerapan teknologi di lapangan dan pengamatan tanaman di dataran tinggi masih terus dilakukan hingga tanaman selesai di panen. Pengamatan pada persemaian cabai menunjukkan bahwa teknologi mikroba-intensif secara konsisten dapat meningkatkan persentase benih berkecambah, meningkatkan keseragaman perkecambahan benih, meningkatkan pertumbuhan bibit, dan mengurangi penyakit rebah kecambah. Pengamatan lebih lanjut di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa teknologi mikroba-intensif akan meningkatkan tinggi, jumlah cabang, produksi tanaman, dan bobot buah cabai yang dihasilkan. Selain itu, penerapan teknologi mikroba-intensif dapat menekan penyakit virus, layu, embun tepung, dan bercak daun cercospora. Pengamatan serangan penyakit di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan mikroba-intensif memberikan hasil yang lebih baik daripada perlakuan konvensional menggunakan pestisida sintetis. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan teknologi mikroba-intensif dapat mengurangi ketergantungan petani terhadap pestisida sintetis. Luaran wajib yang dihasilkan adalah diperolehnya dokumentasi hasil ujicoba produk agens pengendali hayati. Dari kegiatan ini telah disusun dokumen hasil ujicoba produk dengan melakukan pengujian pada dua lokasi. Hasil pengujian akan disusun dalam bentuk petunjuk teknis penerapan teknologi mikroba-intensif pada tanaman cabai. Selain luaran wajib, taget luaran tambahan tahun kedua dari kegiatan ini adalah publikasi pada jurnal ilmiah nasional. Satu artikel publikasi siap untuk disubmit pada Jurnal Hortikultura dan satu draft artikel sedang disempurnakan.
