{"id":256,"date":"2015-11-06T14:14:23","date_gmt":"2015-11-06T07:14:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pkht.ipb.ac.id\/?p=256"},"modified":"2022-03-18T13:48:12","modified_gmt":"2022-03-18T06:48:12","slug":"256","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pkht.ipb.ac.id\/index.php\/2015\/11\/06\/256\/","title":{"rendered":"Pengembangan Sayuran Indigenous"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Peningkatan Produksi Sayuran Indigenous (Cabai Lokal, Terong Lalab, dan Sayuran Daun) melalui Perakitan Varietas Unggul dan Teknologi Produksi dalam Rangka Optimalisasi Pemanfaatan Lahan Suboptimal dan Antisipasi Perubahan Iklim<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sayuran indigenous merupakan bagian dari keanekaragaman hayati yang dimiliki Indonesia. Namun saat ini perhatian terhadap sayuran indigenous nasional masih sangat kurang, bahkan cenderung ditinggalkan. Akibatnya keberadaan sayuran indigenous ini kurang dikenal dan sebagian mulai terancam kepunahan. Selain itu, dari sisi suplai untuk memenuhi permintaan sayuran, Indonesia masih mengimpor produk sayuran dengan laju peningkatan rata-rata selama lima tahun terakhir sebesar 14,97%. Produksi penyediaan sayuran menghadapi tantangan berupa penurunan daya dukung lahan dan anomali cuaca akibat perubahan iklim global.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kegiatan penelitian ini mencakup: (1) pengembangan varietas yang adaptif pada lahan suboptimal, (2) pengembangan teknologi produksi lapang, (3) produksi benih varietas unggul, (4) kajian khasiat (metabolit sekunder), dan (5) diseminasi ke petani di daerah target pengembangan. Penyediaan varietas ini akan memperluas ketersediaan lahan produksi melalui penggunaan dan pemanfaatan lahan suboptimal yang pada akhirnya akan meningkatkan produksi sayuran nasional. Pengembangan varietas dimulai dengan koleksi plasma nutfah yang dilanjutkan dengan karakterisasi, seleksi, hibridisasi, dan pengujian lapangan. Telah dihasilkan 10 aksesi Kemangi, 7 aksesi Kenikir dan 3 aksesi poh pohan yang potensial untuk dikembangkan menjadi varieta baru. Sementara itu dilakukan saat ini sedang seleksi calon varietas cabe local dan terong. Teknologi produksi benih saat ini juga sedang dilakukan percobaan lapang terhadap beberapa aksesi kemangi, kenikir dan poh-pohan.
